Though I Speak

Description

Fortune has favored Miriam. Though she is deaf in a time and place where the disabled are castoffs of society, she has married into a family of means. Her future seems secure until she encounters a wandering Prophet rumored to have healing powers. When he touches her, everything changes. Set in Palestine during the time of Jesus' ministry, Though I Speak pulls back the curtain on the scheming of men in power to do away with the upstart Galilean. Miriam's father-in-law becomes involved, throwing her into the middle of a catastrophe she can neither avoid nor control. When she finds her own family has turned against her, will Miriam's belief in the Prophet be enough to save her?
