Classes : Academic Structure with Homeschool Flexibility
"The Spirit of Texas Activity Guide" is one of three books that make up the unique, cross-curricular "Spirit of Texas" history curriculum. This guide is packed with over 500 activities to be used by classroom or home school teachers as they proceed through each unit of the separate Daily Reader Book. Exercises incorporate science, art, music, math, writing, and many other subject areas to reinforce basic state history information and critical thinking skills. While created as a companion book to the Daily Reader and Reproducible books, the Activity Guide can be easily added to a standard Texas history curriculum as a supplemental activity resource. History units and accompanying activities include: state symbols, regions, Native Americans in Texas, history until present day, and Texas government. Also included in the guide are Texas recipes, writing prompts, and answer keys. Activities and reading levels are appropriate for students fourth through seventh grade, although they can easily be adjusted for younger or older students.
